Attention coaches: discrepancies in any items relating to league standings (goals for, goals against, wins/losses) must immediately be brought to the attention of MBYSA.  It is the coach's responsibility to notify MBYSA via email at mbysa@yahoo.com in order to avoid late season standings issues.  Thank you.

Week Nine Standings

If you are having trouble opening the standings, right-click the link and choose "Save target as..." to save the document.  You can then open the document using Adobe Reader.
All U10 Boys/Girls, U12 Girls, and U14 Girls teams will show at least one tie on the standings.  For the U10 division this is a result of the “friendly” played between the boys and girls, reflecting at least two ties per team.  For the U12 and U14 girls divisions this is due to the first game of the season being played as a pre-season game.  Each of these games has been entered as a 0-0 tie, helping to maintain an accurate goals for/goals against in the standings.
Rule 6 - Competition Guidelines

F.  League champions shall be determined using an equal number of games played against each opponent.  Any additional games scheduled by MBYSA shall not count toward the determination of league champion and shall be scheduled before games that do count.  The World Cup scoring system will be used.  This will consist of three (3) points for a win, one (1) point for a tie, and zero (0) points for a loss.  The team with the most points will win the division.  This rule pertains to U-10 thru U-14 Divisions.

G.  In the event of a tie for 1st or 2nd place, the first tie breaker will be the head to head record between the teams involved.  The second tie breaker will be fewer goals allowed by each team during the season.  The third tiebreaker will be based on the aggregate score between the tied teams.
