About our League

Morongo Basin Youth Soccer Association (MBYSA) is a Non-Profit 501 (c)3 youth recreational soccer organization serving Morongo, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms California, with approximately 650 players registering annually. Our association works hard to provide a positive soccer experience to children ages 4 to 18. We are committed to teaching the skills necessary to enjoy the great game of soccer.

MBYSA Program Objectives

MBYSA’s soccer program is primarily interested in competition within its own community, at a recreational level, where participation and learning the skills of soccer are stressed. Every attempt is made to balance the skill level of the teams and ensuring, at least, fifty percent playing time for each player.

Soccer signups will begin at the end of May, with dates, times, and location to be posted via our league website as soon as they become available. The regular fall season will begin in August and run through November.  Top Competitive teams in the upper divisions are eligible to participate in an extended season to include; Commissioners Cup in December and Presidents Cup in January. To prepare your soccer player for the season, MBYSA recommends each player have an age appropriate soccer ball, shin guards, and, although not mandatory, cleats.

General League Operations

Once a player registration is submitted, received, and fees are applied your child will be placed on a team using a blind draft process. Team assignment requests for the non-competitive divisions will be honored on a first come first serve basis and only considered when submitted in writing via our webpage. Competitive division team assignment requests WILL NOT be authorized under the following conditions, to include but not limited to: transportation issues, coach requests, extended family requests, and friend requests. (LATE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED). Please see our soon to be updated calendar of events for draft dates. After your child is placed on a team, the coach will contact you within two weeks to provide information on practice times and locations. Game schedules will be released in September.

Field Locations

Practice and game fields are located within the Town of Yucca Valley; Brehm Sports Park and Brehm Field are located at 56265 Little League Drive.
